,Maestro-level leader, Kirk Kriegel

I just attended the Christian Leadership Alliance conference in Jacksonville, Florida. It is always a great conference. This year's theme was Therefore.

That theme and the sessions with keynote speakers got me thinking. Looking back on this “third turn” of life, I have a lot of therefores—how about you?

In Scripture, Hebrews 11, is the Role Call of Faith—listing people who served faithfully. Each had a unique therefore—textured therefores—one speaker called them. Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, and David—all with unique backgrounds, life experiences, struggles, and failures. Because of those struggles, not in spite of them, they each had a “therefore.”

At 66 ½ (I have reached the age where ½s are essential!) I can think back on all the experiences (good and bad) as well as all the men and women who impacted my life and those who continue. Making a list of those experiences and names of your past and how they have affected you is a good practice. Do you currently have a group of people who invest in you?

Maestro-level leader cohorts help people like me develop their unique and textured therefore. These people are part of my therefore story. Because of those people, therefore, I will go and impact the people of my organization more wholly with a view of the future after I am gone.” Because of the people of Maestro, therefore, I will be a healthier version of myself for the life I am going to from here.

It causes me to ask what therefore I am planting in others today. Will my name be mentioned in the testimonies of others in years to come? How would you answer those questions?
