Intentionally Developing Leaders
For a number of years now, I've put the following list in front of executives who find they must develop their people, especially those leaders they want to retain.
Leadership development comes with the role of running an organization. If you don't make it happen, who will? It's reasonable to ask if you really are leading if you're not engaging in the shaping of others. This is a work that's never done. Continuous leadership education, especially as it relates to the current strategic arc of the organization must become a priority, even if it means putting some other initiatives in the closet.
This list is no surprise. The question is whether you've chosen one (several is better) and whether you are intentional. Need some help thinking and designing? I'd love such a conversation with you.
Using the above list with a senior team or board, here are some good discussion questions.

Listening with others in some way and enjoying in-depth conversations of your own as you reflect and choose what you would do the same or differently is a plus!
We always welcome you sharing these podcasts with others as well as sending along any suggestions for making these podcasts better.
