Faithful Friends,

I Hope that you are finding freedom from fear in the fundraising process in recent weeks as you have been engaging these articles and videos, and engaging in our community of care!

As Henri Nouwen suggests, I hope that you have felt free to receive and free to graciously respond to the “no” from a supporter much better than when I when you began this series.

I bet you are thankful for the transition from solely trusting business practices toward trusting the God who is present, generous, and who is guiding you each day as a fundraiser. Asking, giving, and receiving have formed you deeply as you've walk the road of faithful friendship alongside people who support your ministry and your very life. WOAH.

My hope is that, this series, helped you work toward recasting fundraising from a mostly secularized approach to one that views fundraising as a spiritual practice that is connected to our hearts.

What a life you have to live! You are learning to venture into a more familiar and theological concepts of community instead of commerce and spiritual formation instead of commodification.

I hope you are proud of yourself. You have bearded the generous of God and of others with beauty and grace.

Missionary work is fueled by four God-given things, it seems: mission, love, community, and the hope of spiritual formation.

That is exactly where we are going to pick up with the next series of videos and blogs:

The Four Footings: Mission, Community, Love, and the Hope of Spiritual Formation

I'm looking forward to listening and learning from each of you as we create a community of care around conversations on these "Four Footings".

I am hopeful that they will anchor deep inside of you somewhere are you recast your fundraising thinking and practice

Lead with Love,

Kevin A. Eastway
