Propose a Paper Prospectus

Propose a Paper to the Stewardship Summit!

The Stewardship Summit welcomes your prospectus for a 10-page paper to be presented at the 2018 Stewardship Summit, to be held at the Network of International Christian Schools, near Memphis, TN.

 

The deadline to receive prospectuses is Monday, 30 October 2017, for it to be considered by the Stewardship Summit faculty advisors.  

 

Please fill out the prospectus form to the left to submit your idea.

Papers will be determined by Monday, 20 November 2017, and all presenters will be informed. Awardees have until Monday, 1 January 2018 to submit their ten page papers for distribution.  Five awardees are granted a presentation slot among their peers at the Stewardship Summit. Please see the following section for instructions on paper format criteria and presentations criteria.

 

Prospectuses will be assessed for award according to the following criteria by the Stewardship Summit Faculty Advisors:

 

  1. Connection to Stewardship theology and practice (up to 20 points)
  2.  Thought leadership (up to 10 points)
  3.  Originality of subject (up to 10 points)
  4.  Significance of contribution to the field (up to 10 points)

(50 points total)

       

The highest-rated paper will receive the Summit Award (free registration for the 2019 Summit the following year) and be featured during the closing session.

 

 

Awardees must develop their papers according to the following format:

  1. Title/author page should be its own page.
  2. Font no smaller than 10 pt, and no larger than 12.
  3. Standards margins, spacing and pagination are expected.
  4. Spell and grammar checking prior to submission are expected.
  5. ALL references must be cited. Footnotes preferred.

 

 

Presentations are to be structured according to the following flow:

  1. (30 minutes) – Building on key ideas of the paper, what you wish to:
  • emphasize
  • illustrate
  • point to next steps
  • offer additional insights
  1. (up to 45 minutes): Facilitated Commentary, Questions and Answers with SummitParticipants.
