Eric has provided consulting services in industrial-organizational psychology (I-O Psychology) to for profit and nonprofit professional associations as well as to Fortune 500 businesses throughout the United States such as the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), American Express, BP Pipelines, BMW of North America, the Center for the Advancement of Process Technology (CAPT), Farmers Insurance, and the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL). His work has significantly reduced turnover and increased the ROI of selection and training methods. He has developed nationwide testing, education, and training plans for that provide stakeholders with credentials, employment, and development plans. Mr. Vincent has defined competency models and skill standards for occupations ranging from executive leaders to those in technical professions and has provided consulting services to clients regarding job analysis, needs analysis, validation studies, selection systems, testing programs, test content outlines, adverse impact studies, structured interviews, and training programs.
Prior to joining Design Group International in August of 2007 as Partner and Executive Consultant, Mr. Vincent served as an I-O Psychologist at ACT, Inc. (formerly American College Testing). At ACT, he developed customized solutions for corporate clients that frequently included statistical analyses with reporting to various constituencies. In addition, he contributed to the design and presentation of distance learning and training seminars that teach the WorkKeys job profiling system to job profilers, and he continues to serve as an ACT trainer for the system. While at ACT, he authored the white paper, Foundational Skills are Key to Success in the Workplace. He also designed new job analysis products in compliance with professional standards to meet market needs and provided instruction for the Assessment 101 course offered through the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).
Throughout his career, he has designed and administered evaluations for health services programs, training curricula, and employee and satisfaction. He has also designed tools for the selection of executives, and advised HR executives regarding fair hiring and promotion practices and performance evaluation. He has served as the instructor for undergraduate university courses in statistics, experimental psychology, and industrial-organizational psychology. Mr. Vincent has held management positions in the insurance industry to plan organizational change and design and conduct training programs to implement those changes. His duties also have included designing and implementing policies and procedures, developing and managing marketing programs, reporting outcomes, designing company and subsidiary charts of accounts, creating financial reports, and advising accounting department staff.
